What it pays

Energy audits with completed measures: up to 100% of audit costs to a maximum of $3,000 (buildings up to 15,000 sq ft), $5,000 (15,001–75,000 sq ft) or $8,000 (over 75,001 sq ft); proof-of-payment only: up to 50% to a maximum of $1,100 / $2,200 / $3,300 by the same classes. Feasibility studies: up to 100% to a maximum of $1,100 / $2,200 / $3,300. Upgrades: electricity up to $250,000 per fiscal year at $120/GJ saved; non-electric fuels up to $1 million at 25% of eligible project costs.

Deadline: Rolling intake

Pays for the energy audit and the feasibility study first (at up to 100% of cost, tiered by building size) then pays per gigajoule saved on the upgrades that follow. Delivered through approved Energy Management Service Providers who submit on the building owner's behalf.

Who qualifies

Owners and operators of commercial buildings in New Brunswick, working through an approved Energy Management Service Provider.

Summarized from the official page. This is not advice; the provider decides.

Status note, as recorded

Intake evidence: live "Get started today!" and free energy walk-through sign-up, plus the non-electric stream's own wording, "Available until funds are depleted" on a "first come, first serve basis". The $1 million non-electric pot can empty mid-year with no notice, so confirm availability before scoping. A program guide v6.1 dated August 2022 is still linked from the site and its figures conflict with the live /incentives/ page; the amounts above come from the live page, and the PDF is out of date. Amounts are per fiscal year and per entity.

Nearly every application on this list wants a measured figure that most plants do not have yet. Metering produces it, and we can help your team put the paperwork together around it.
