Cost-shares the engineering study that finds the savings (steam trap surveys, process improvement studies, air balance studies and, explicitly, metering installations) at industrial and agricultural natural gas facilities. It is the study-stage companion to the Industrial Custom Program that funds the fix.

Verified open 2026-08-25. THE REASON THIS ENTRY EXISTS: the eligible assessment types named on the page include "metering installations"; a gas utility cost-sharing the meter itself, at up to 50%. Enbridge's own manufacturing page frames the same offer as "Energy assessments and meters: up to 50 percent of eligible costs". Beware a stale 75% figure circulating in search summaries; the program page says 50 percent. Assessment projects must be "completed between Jan. 1 and Nov. 30 of the current calendar year"; the page says "current calendar year", not 2026, so this deadline ROLLS EVERY JANUARY, exactly like the Industrial Custom entry. Pre-approval is mandatory: obtain confirmation of acceptance before carrying out the assessment. Enbridge notes its "Connect with an Energy Solutions Advisor" form was experiencing technical issues at retrieval, phone contact may be needed.
