Small Business Energy Solutions
EfficiencyOne (Efficiency Nova Scotia) · Efficiency Nova Scotia
What it pays

Deadline: none stated on the source page
Turnkey rebates plus interest-free on-bill financing for small commercial electricity customers. Applications are still being accepted and reviewed, but the 2026 budget is fully committed and new approvals are being paid out in 2027.
Who qualifies

Status note, as recorded
The caveat here is the headline. The program is genuinely open, asked "Is the Small Business Energy Solutions (SBES) program still open?", the page answers "Yes. We continue to accept applications, and applications are reviewed in the order they are received." But it also carries this banner: "Funding for the Small Business Energy Solutions program is fully committed for 2026. Incentive payments for new projects preapproved in 2026 will be issued in 2027." So the work can be approved and completed now and the cheque arrives next year, "Most new pre-approvals are being issued with an Approved Program Year of 2027", and early payment "is not guaranteed". Pre-approvals expire "typically within 120 days of the pre-approval date", and a revision that increases a rebate can be pushed to the next program year. The new budget year should lift that banner in January 2027.

Nearly every application on this list wants a measured figure that most plants do not have yet. Metering produces it, and we can help your team put the paperwork together around it.
