BC Hydro · BC Hydro

British ColumbiaElectricityCompressed airIntake openNo stated deadline

What it pays

The average incentive is about 25% of a project's cost, but for some projects it's upwards of 50%; a 30% bonus incentive applies to projects submitted between June 3, 2025 and February 11, 2027

Deadline: none stated on the source page

Bonus rate: ends 11 Feb 2027 on an otherwise ongoing program.

Streamlined incentives for lighting systems of any size and compressed air systems of 40 to 300 horsepower at larger industrial and commercial sites. Eligible costs include equipment, installation, in-house labour, project management and disposal.

Who qualifies

Industrial or large commercial BC Hydro customers using more than 500 MWh of electricity per year; systems over 300 hp go through a Key Account Manager instead.

Summarized from the official page. This is not advice; the provider decides.

Status note, as recorded

CORRECTED 2026-08-25. The previous record claimed "up to 75% of cost"; the Self-serve incentives program page states "The average incentive is about 25% of a project’s cost, but for some projects it’s upwards of 50%", so the 75% figure is not republished here. The previous note’s expired Feb 12, 2026 bonus deadline is likewise superseded: "30% bonus incentive for all self-serve incentives projects submitted between June 3, 2025 and February 11, 2027", with projects completed by March 14, 2028. Requires an Alliance of Energy Professionals vendor system assessment and pre-approval through the CEM hub. February 11, 2027 is the BONUS window and not a program deadline, so it is recorded in its own field; the program itself publishes no closing date.

Nearly every application on this list wants a measured figure that most plants do not have yet. Metering produces it, and we can help your team put the paperwork together around it.
